Over the Alexanders

I'm really pleased that 'Out of the Blue' Gallery in Marazion has taken four pieces of my work showing Mount's Bay and Porthcurno. Check it out if you are passing, see what you think. Glyn Macey has some lovely work there. Take a look.

Oystercatchers, Trenow

These oystercatchers do the rounds everyday.
When the tide is low they can often be seen
feeding on the small stretch of sand at Trenow.
The dog investigates and they fly round to Boat Cove.

Part Exchange

Whoever thought of transforming the lower floor of the old telephone exchange in Penzance into this was inspired. Granite buildings have a perennial beauty of their own, but ugly concrete ones can benefit from a bit of brave architectural vision.

Here are some images of my recent work shown last week at Morvah School House Gallery ( A great place , well worth a visit). This Exhibition was entitled 'Ways of Seeing' and included fabulous work by Jill and Russ Pierre, and Annie Henry. An enjoyable show where our work was well recieved.

Elephant Hawk Moth

Macro lenses are great for fauna and flora. This hawk moth found my moth lamp in the garden...These chaps are just beautiful.

BIG WREN!

Acton Montage

Through the Alexanders

I've been working on some silhouette landscape art pieces recently, based on the area around my home in West Cornwall.

When it rains the weed in the caves near Cudden point drip with water as the run off comes down the cliff.

Amsterdam Club Lights

Loved this lighting on the wall of a club near the Melkweg a couple of weeks ago

Penzance Night Bus

I took this shot for my photo club last December. We were working on images under the theme of 'Cornwall out of season'.........I thought the bus station at 9:30 p.m. would be bleak, empty and lacking holiday makers. I guess the idea of life going on quietly in the off season also appealed to me.
As it turned out it was cold and windy ( still makes me shiver!!), but the station lighting gave the image a warmth against the cold night sky.
